How to Rediscover Your Power and Purpose

At first, I got really angry, I kept feeling the anger. The kind of anger that brews deep within, simmering just below the surface. But I wasn’t mad at anyone else—I was only mad at myself. I found myself asking, How had I allowed this to happen? How did I end up here, spending hours upon hours at a laptop, disconnected from the things that truly matter?

I wasn’t born to spend my entire adult life staring at a screen, stuck in a cycle of endless tasks, and feeling drained at the end of each day. Were you? Somehow, along the way, I lost touch with the part of me that knew I was made for more. Maybe you can relate to this.

The Moment of Realisation

It was one of those moments where life slaps you in the face with something completely unexpected—like being hit by a truck, of all things. An absurd visual, I know, but it paints the picture of how jarring this realization was for me. The “realisation” jolted me out of the sea of false societal ideals I had unknowingly bought into. I was drowning, and I didn’t even know it.

Life had become a constant uphill, I wasn’t naturally designed to fight the current in this way. The resistance I felt every day wasn’t normal; it was a product of societal pressures and expectations that I had accepted without question. I had fallen for the trap, just like so many of us do.

Falling Into the Trap

Perhaps it’s because I’m getting older, or maybe this was just a next-level awakening. Whatever the reason, I had a profound “I’ve had enough” moment that has led to huge changes in my life. Sitting at my desk a few weeks ago, I made a promise to myself: I will not be busy all the time. I will not spend the majority of my life at this desk, feeling like my energy is being drained into a void.

I was born for more. You were born for more.

This realisation wasn’t just about changing my daily routine; it was about reconnecting with something much deeper—the life force within me. This life force is the energy that fuels our passions, our creativity, and our sense of purpose. And it was being drained by the endless demands and expectations placed on me by society, by work, and even by myself.

The Power of Life Force

I felt an overwhelming urge to share this with you. My heart was telling me to reach out and remind you that you have this life force within you, too. It’s always there, waiting to be tapped into, waiting to fill you with vitality and purpose. We are all here to be an expression of life itself, to fulfil our fullest potential. But somewhere along the way, many of us lose touch with that truth and grow angry.

We get caught up in the narratives we are fed: Work more. Buy more. Do more. But that’s not what life is about. And it’s okay to feel angry about this realisation. In fact, I want you to feel that anger because it’s the first step toward reclaiming your power.

Embracing the Anger

Yes, you can get angry—and you should. This anger is not destructive; it’s empowering. It’s a wake-up call from deep within your soul, reminding you of your worth, your potential, and your purpose. Your life force is so unbelievably powerful. It’s like a rippling earthquake that stirs the molten core of your being. Imagine that kind of energy—the energy of creation, passion, and vitality—being stolen from you. You’d be pissed off, right?

Well, that’s exactly what has been happening. Society, media, and even our educational systems are designed to drain us of this life force. They push us to work harder, consume more, and keep us busy to question whether this is how life is supposed to be.

Reclaiming Your Life Force

The good news is that you can claim it back. The first step is to trust in life and in yourself. Trust that your life force is always there, waiting for you to reconnect with it. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or empty inside, those emotions are simply what fill the space when your life force isn’t home. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

The fastest way to reconnect with your true self is through presence. It’s only when you become fully present—when you stop the distractions and sit with yourself—that you can see the trap you’ve fallen into. And it’s in that moment of presence that you can pull yourself out. That’s what I did. I got really present, and it opened my eyes.

The Importance of Being Present

Presence is a powerful thing. It’s more than just being mindful; it’s about truly connecting with the moment, with your body, with your breath, and with the life force within you. When you are present, you can see the truth about your life, your choices, and your energy. When I got present, I realised that I had been living in a way that wasn’t aligned with my true nature. I had allowed the world around me to dictate how I spent my time, my energy, and my focus.

But in that moment of presence, I saw the trap for what it was—and I decided to step out of it. Do you ever find yourself wondering whether it’s all worth it? Or asking yourself, Is this really it? Is this what life is supposed to feel like? If so, you’re not alone. I had been asking myself those questions for a while, and I finally found the answer: there is more.

There Is More to Life

More to life than the endless cycle of anger, doing, consuming, striving, feeling like you’re always fighting an uphill battle. There is a lot more to life than simply surviving. Life means thriving, connecting to your inner life force, and aligning with your true self. It’s about feeling alive—so very alive. If you’ve been feeling disconnected, drained, or like something is missing, that’s your sign. It’s time to reconnect with your life force. It’s time to come home to yourself.
